| About this Wreck |
| bound for chicago, she was caught by a storm and anchored off the island. as the wind increased she dragged ashore and was heavily damaged. her crew made it to shore and made shelter under one of her sails. the vessel was left for the winter, but she was reported the next summer to have broken up by dec 10 of 1855. in mid april of 1856 her cargo and salvaged gear was removed by the propeller lady of the lake. owned by meadowcroft, chicago. master |
