About this Wreck
upbound from chicago for buffalo, she sprang a leak in a storm and was abandoned off the manitous. she went down in fifty fathoms of water. one passenger was drowned when one of her boats capsized, but the rest of the passengers and crew made it to shore near sleeping bear in her three other boats. owned by western transportation co. master
